Is a tattooed Jesus the gospel?

11 Oct

This morning I found this article among the many in my daily Feedly posts. After reading it I decided to post it jesus_tattoos_ll_131009_16x9_608here and see if anyone else would consider this to be the gospel message as you know it. Please take the time to read the short article, watch the embedded video in the article, and give me some feedback.

Update: Click on the image of the billboard to the right to be directed to the website and the accompanying video.

I will add my opinion later as I am looking for some honest, thoughtful, unbiased opinions.

It sorta talks to substitutionary atonement in an odd sort of way, yet doesn’t talk to repentance and trust in His sacrifice on the cross as sufficient to satisfy God’s wrath against His enemy the sinner who gains forgiveness.

Yes, I did notice that Mark. I also see the trendy “new start” instead of “new life” or as scripture puts it, “make alive”.

Quite irrelevant maybe, but i wonderes what does ‘Mea Vita, Mea Sententia, Soli Deo Gloria’ mean? is it my life, my choice?

Excellent question, and one I haven’t received. MEA VITA, MEA SENTENTIA, SOLI DEO GLORIA – My life, my thoughts. To the glory of God alone.
