Remembering 9.11.2001

11 Sep

Our enemies have made the mistake that America’s enemies always make. They saw liberty and thought they saw weakness. And now, they see defeat.

There are those who are letting the memory of the horrific nature of “9/11” fade from their minds.

While we shouldn’t dwell on the images of those jumping from buildings, or even the sight of the planes being used as bombs on the buildings themselves, we must remember that evil was done that day. It would have been evil whether it was done on US soil, or elsewhere in the world. It became PERSONAL evil because it was done in the US.

    May we never forget!

I can’t imagine every forgetting. I still remember where I was and what I was doing.

I will never forget the fear that our liberty was about to change forever. I will always remember being at work and my husband calling me saying, “We are under attack!”

I remember that I was late to work that day and a fellow employee greeted me at the door with “Someone just flew a plane into the World Trade Center.” I couldn’t believe it. The Internet was locked up from everyone trying to get info on what was going on. And then another plane hit the second tower. We knew then that it wasn’t an accident. We were under attack! We all called our loved ones to make sure they were ok. The rest of the day we all crowded into the various cafeteria’s at the office, watching as the horrific news unfolded. Everyone went home early that day. May we never forget.
