For those who still wrestle with the sovereignty of God and that 
He chooses who He will save through His son, I found a very articulate response to this seemingly controversial theology. The posting can be found here. Please read it and use the intellect God gave you. If you are not a believer in Jesus Christ none of it will make sense, but maybe the answer to the following question will. What is the penalty for one sin?

Thanks for the comment Steve. I haven’t heard from you in a while. Did you abandon AltTheology? I sure enjoyed the short stint. Kind of like some of those 80’s Alternative groups. LOL! Kidding. Anyway I miss it.

Hi, I saw a comment you left on “Adding My Views” and had to check your blog out. It is difficult to grasp an all knowing God and many of us can only see these things from our points of veiw. Hence the monster comment on that blog you referenced. It does seem strange that God would have already chosen those and not others. But what we are not considering, is God just knows the out come of our free will choice. What a pardox that is!! I still am trying to understand all this. Frankly, as a follower of Christ, I am new. I had spent most of my life as an addict and a couple of years ago I got clean and realized the only way to maintaining my sobriety was to turn my life and will over to the care of God. Do I deserve His grace? Not at all, but by the blood of Christ my sins are washed clean and my gratitude is as strong now as it was the moment I accepted Christ as my lord and Savior. Thanks for letting share and I am going to look forward to reading more of your blogs.

Welcome my brother to BarryDean4Christ. I totally know where you are coming from. The part about God only knowing the outcome of our free will choice. I used to subscribe to that theology to some degree. But that theology is not found in the scriptures. What you will find is that God is sovereign over everything, especially when it comes to the salvation of man. If you read Ephesians chapter 1 you will find the we were dead in our sins, but God made us alive through the saving grace of His Son Jesus Christ. You rightly say that you do not deserve God’s grace. Not just because you were an addict, but because you had no hope to deserve it. Your salvation was a work of a sovereign God and not anything that you did. I am rejoicing with you in your salvation, and in mine as well. I thank God daily that He so graciously saved me as I know you do as well.
